This is a question Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.

Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."

What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?

Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

LOST - my fucking temper.
THROWN - a fucking tantrum.

GET OVER THE LOSS OF YOUR PLASTIC STAR WARS TOYS BY POSTING SOMETHING INTERESTING.

Yeah, we get it. A lot of you had Star Wars toys, now you don't.

I once had a life, now I barely have the will to live.

In reality, you probably wouldn't have made any money on the frickin' toys. In fact, if you'd kept 'em, they'd probably be trashed to fuck by now.

Same goes for 2000AD comics. Seriously, how many of those damn things did they print? Every motherfucker on here seems to have lost the first 500 of them.

Fantastic...
I think it took about 2 stories of 'My mum threw/gave/sold my [enter name of thing I don't give a flying fuck about] away' for me to get very very bored of reading them.

I wonder if your message will get through... I'd like to think it will, but somehow I doubt it.

I tried
Really I did.
I thought I was going to get the message though on the first page but I just ended up being called dogface.

Do you want to know something? Mr Inabin still has all his Star Wars toys in his mums loft. BUT THEY ARE NOT WORTH SHIT BECAUSE HE PLAYED WITH THEM.

Edit - I point your attention to what I said earlier in the month.

I know. It's like a thousand voices cried out in annoyance and were suddenly silenced.

Heh
I half considered posting about how my sister threw all my Star Wars toys away without consulting me first, but then thought, "nah, ther'll be dozens of stories like that this week".

I have just (temporarily) lost £1300, though, but that's not exactly priceless junk, so the story's on 'off topic'. Gotta love the British banking system...

Well, I'm sorry.
I thought that was the subject of this QOTW. As I pointed out in my answer just below (which I presume is the straw that broke the camel's back), the star wars toys don't particularly bother me, seeing as I'd have probably sold them anyway. It was the Beatles LP that I would now cherish and could never normally afford that I wish had never been given away. I didn't have anything that I particularly treasured when I was a child, it was only when I got older and less well socially adjusted that I started investing so much emotion in things.

Incidentally, I barely have the will to live either, nothing to do with old toys, it's just that every single day I spend on this planet depresses me even more.

whiny cunts
I never had any star wars toys, nor comics. Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

One had feck all in one's hoos due to poverty. I recall going to school with the sole hanging off my trainers cos we had no fucking money. I even had to eat chickpeas. A lot.

Grow the fuck up you spoilt cunts.

Chickpeas...
you, lucky, lucky bastard.

We had to eat gravel from side o' road.

Lived in a shoebox we did, and if we were lucky our old man would whip us to sleep with broken glass...after we'd worked 25 hours a day down mill.

Broken Glass? Luxury
Used to get cut in half wi t'breadknife before working 36 hours a day at mill and we had to pay mill-owner for t'priviledge.
(, Sat 16 Aug 2008, 18:17, closed)
You were lucky.
I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah.
