20p shop machinesSave 19p by wrapping a penny in tin foil and putting it in one of those machines outside shops that vend a plastic capsule which contains a crap toy. Turn the handle and the mechanism will think it's a 20p coin. I haven't done this for 15 years.

Yep, works.Friends and I used to do this in the Dolphin Centre in Poole when I was a snotty kid to get bouncy balls out of the machines. We'd then proceed to hurl them around the shopping centre in a hilarious fashion.

vending machinesWe used to stick 2 5c coins (AUD) together and the vending machines think it's a $2, you get your treat and more change than you put in!
