Another real one
If you use an OXO cube. Flatten it gently first. Then tear it open like a sachet. This will stop you getting oxo cube all over your fingers.

I've been doing this for years.
Is a wonderful tip and saves time as well as mess. I find you don't need to be that gentle either.

Same goes for garlic cloves.
Slice off the ends, crush with hands or flat bit of knife and it makes it easier to peal.

And don't use a crusher!
