Top recession tip.
Shaving brush = £3
Good shaving soap (years supply) = £3
Traditional pop a new razorblade razor (inc 5 razors) = £5
10 replacements razors = £2.50.
Extra time shaving = Plus 10%
Time shaving soap lasts = 1 or 2 years
Time one blade lasts = £same as post 2000 blade razors.

Money saved over a year = about £100.

I have done this.
I thought I'd try olden shaving to irritate my skin less. I find it now takes less time than crappy modern razors ever did.

i favor the get someone to by you a straight razor for christmas
as well as a good strop, some crabtree and evlyn sandlewood shaving soap and a good brush.

cost to me = £0

ongoing cost over the last 4 years = about £30 in aftershave balm.

Yeah but it still works out more expensive.
The point is if you shave properly (ie don't use foam or gel from a can) you don't need more that one razor.
Only using a brush effectively gets the lather under the bristle and makes it exceptionally easy to remove.
