I do this except......I add a thin layer of the cheapest nasty tesco value conditioner.
Saves me a fortune in foam, balms and aftershave and my razors last about 4 months each.

Yep.+1 for conditioner. It's fucking brilliant. Better than ANY shaving product I've ever found
