they don't clean it - it'll get steamed to take out the creases but that's it. same for all charity shops. if it's dirty it'll go for recycling... i run a charity shop, i know. and, while i'm on it, the amount of womens tops that get donated that have horrible yellow staining under the armpit is quite disturbing......

to the local charity shop (Red Cross). Mainly kids' clothes that they've grown out of. I make sure everything is properly laundered and in good condition. If it's permanently stained or torn, it goes in the recycle bin.
Shame other people aren't as thoughtful.
