Can be tempting though!! One of my over affectionate cats crawled under the duvet and pissed on the sheet and thus fucking up the duvet!! GrrRRRRR So one new mattress later and I wake up this morning to find a steaming batch of newly laid cat eggs in the bath.........

I can accept that, but I still don't like cats being talked about in this way as if it isn't just an opinion. Cats vs dogs is apples vs citrus. Have you taken that leaky cat to the vet Vambo?
My cats have always had a lot of outside to crap in, and easy access to it. There are many situations that cats are put in which give them no choice but to be uncivilised, in the face of people that treat them like humans to try correct their behaviour. They can't actually make a connection to what they did earlier in the day when you rub shit in their face, they were just chillin and you saw them. It might make them scared of you or the place you did it, but what they still need is a better option. If you want to stop them crapping somewhere, feed them there.
For awww value, one thing about cats, you can teach the old ones new tricks. My 10 year old cat that likes laps has recently been taught that when I say UP, I'm about to get up. She'd prefer to move herself rather than be flung or grappled off me, so she does it every time, and probably appreciates the warning. Shame I never thought of it sooner.
Wow this got a little beyond scope! Damn video's still loading. If sharing this makes one cat/owner happier I'll be stoked.
