This is a question Waste of money

I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.

Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

I've got a really cool skateboard
I bought it 6 months ago.

I'm 34.

It lives in the cupboard under the stairs.

Haha!
I'm 45 and buy skateboard brand t-shirts. I'm not silly enough to actually buy a skateboard.

Use it, you muppet.
If only to upset teenagers.

I broke my toe falling off mine about 7 years ago.
The day before I went to a garden party. Hobbling around, people asked me what I'd done. "Broken my toe" I said. "How?" they asked. "Falling off my skateboard" I replied. At which point they would splutter into their champagne.

What is it about 34 year-olds and skateboards?
I'm 34 and have one too - mine's in the garage. It was a prize donated to my shop for a video game competition, which was never claimed.

It does have a use though, my son's learning to ride his bike, so when I wander to the local shop, I walk with him, as he peddles furiously uphill - then post newspaper and grocery shoppage, we both trundle back home again at our own pace..

I gave up trying to skate when I was 18
but suddenly, best part of a decade later, I'm tempted to try again...
