Worst Band Ever
If I was in charge of the B3ta fatwa department, we wouldn't be hearing too much from Simply Red in the future. Who's on your musical shit list and why?

The ones who take a half decent song from yesteryear
Then use it as a backing track for a rap.
I take comfort from the thought that the original artist is probably getting a cut of the takings from the shite version.

There have only been two songs in this category when they treated the source with any respect.
Eminem's use of Aerosmith's Dream On and P. Diddy's use of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. These weren't too awful. Of course they slightly ruined them by talking all throughout the middle of them....

I blame vanilla ice
And the idiots who still think ruining half decent songs in the way you describe is cool, just because they liked ice ice baby *shudder* when they were 7.

You mean recording artists like..
Puff Daddy, TuPac/2 PAC or whatever, And mostly of Jay Z - who totally re-released New York by Alicia Keys almost within weeks of her original, except he just talks over it.
Dizzy Rascal, you are also guilty of the same crimes.
That said, I'm into dance music, and the house scene has been blatantly doing this for years, so I guess it's a universal habit really.
