"You're doing it wrong"
Chthonic confesses: "Only last year did I discover why the lids of things in tubes have a recessed pointy bit built into them." Tell us about the facepalm moment when you realised you were doing something wrong.

could actually be a top tip aswell
I am right handed. In the morning when I shave I used to hold the shaving foam can in my right hand and collect the foam in my left. Then transfer the foam from my left hand to my right before lathering the face. Now I hold the can in my left hand and spray the foam directly into my right thus saving me valuable fractions of a second in my morning routine.
and I think that is probably the most boring story i've ever told

Interesting
I've always wanted to try one of those after seeing it in many a classic film(or maybe it was just the untouchables). But I got put off by the fella describing it as 'FANTABULOUS' I mean who the fuck says that? He has killed it for me.

Is this some sort of competition to give Amorous Badger a heart attack from adrenaline overload?
If so, I'd just like to add that I spent fully five minutes this afternoon looking for two white socks with exactly the same motif on them, being in possession of several different pairs that resemble each other superficially but that on closer examination turn out to be subtly different.
This tale is so gripping, I think I'll have to post the second instalment next week.

Can you not use both hands to apply the foam
While I'm not a bloke and therefore don't shave my face, this is what I do with facewash and moisturiser - this actually halves the time taken to apply them.

Not only
is it saving you time, but surely there is less usage of your chosen shaving product, simply because there is no residue remaining on your left hand, that does not get to your face. Maybe you should invent an applicator to apply directly to you face.
