I used to put different stuff into bunsen burner flames to make pretty colours
then I progressed to burning piles of aluminium powder mixed with other stuff....until I found out that heatproof mats aren't actually heatproof

burning piles of aluminum, wouldnt the fumes kill you?

do you think a fifteen year old would care about that?
or the vast amounts of iron sulphide gas we produced?
(, Thu 26 Aug 2004, 20:34, archived)

ever managed to melt a glass in half?
I did... while trying to melt chocolate in a glass in a microwave. It looked cool! I wish we still had it (it ended up smashed)
(, Thu 26 Aug 2004, 20:43, archived)
haha
we were at a family friends house and there was a glass candle next to me. eventually the wax burned to where the flame was right next to the glass holder and it melted and broke off.
