and it's not helping this time. I've also used honey to no noticable effect

an anesthetic spray that will go directly to your throat and not in your mouth.
I would see about the emergency doc, if it's not easing off slightly you could end up very sick indeed, and so will the sprogs.

everywhere will be shut now. I have a feeling though that the last time I tried to get some of that stuff for a throat infection I couldn't have it cos of breastfeeding. or maybe I was pregnant. I'll need to check.

and eat toast and honey.
You might also want to try milk and honey drink.

gargling with dissolvable aspirin also helps (if you're not allergic to it/taking anything else)

it sounds vile, I hate milk as a drink, though maybe with honey it would be ok. I can't take aspirin though

heat the milk up in a pan or in the nuker, then stir the honey in.

and was about to have my tonsils out when it all stopped. I used to just use ibuprofen, salt water gargles and Soothers and that was enough. this time it's not helping. *mutter grumble*

it's painful, but I felt about a million times better for it. I only realised quite how run down it was making me, when I recovered from the op and realised that for the first time in about a year I didn't have a sore throat.

was shortly after it all suddenly cleared up (with a rather attractive Antonio Banderas-lookey-likey doctor, complete with accent who had my mum practically drooling) so the doctor wouldn't take them out. I wasn't keen on the idea anyway
