Being very metropolitan and whatnot
I've just been talking with some foriegn types. Turns out in Greece when it's your birthday, you take everyone out and buy them drinks, rather than the other way round (ie. the correct way) like we do here. Madness, eh?

I know companies where, if it's your birthday, you have to buy everyone cakes.
Instead of them all chipping in to buy you.

Depending how many people you work with it could cost a fair bit.
I'd be cheap and bake a dose of mini cakes.

I'd be even cheaper and just not buy any cakes.
It's my birthday, after all.

We do that
and if youwin the bonus ball.
Its frowned upon to by value cakes or biscuits.

Well, one birthday and one name day. The day you were born then the day your saint's day is. August 9th and October 4th for me.

That means my name day is 25th July
which is also a mates birthday. I'll have to insist he gets ME a present this year.
