Not everyone is a gaming geek.
I wouldn't know who he was if I wasn't going out with Double F.

Mind you, I get wound up when someone famous died and people go 'who?' The worst case of this was when John Peel died. I worked with a load of people who hadn't a clue who he was. There was an awful lot of facepalming that day.

Yes, but you'd think that people taking a "guess the game from the characters" quiz would know who he was.
Twice as many people were familiar with Final Fantasy characters, for example.
