Is this a serious question?
"It is inconceivable that a man could live without the radio!"
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:16, archived)
I didn't suggest that it was inconceivable, but I do wonder what is so preferable to make those of us
who listen to the radio "wankers".
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:17, archived)
You did really well to get from a sensible, valid question
to inferring Moose was suggesting it was inconceivable.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:18, archived)
It just seemed an odd thing to ask to me,
as if anyone needs to listen to anything when they wake up or go to sleep.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:20, archived)
Unfortunately, I am physically incapable of waking up at the same time every day to go to work without
some sort of external impetus. Personally I choose 6Music. If you have a better option, please share.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:22, archived)
Just an alarm clock.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:23, archived)
So the sound of ringing/beeping.
Personally I prefer the sound of John Richardson/Shaun Keaveney and music.

Still, if you prefer a repeated monotone, that's your call. Doesn't make me a wanker though.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:24, archived)
I don't prefer it,
I turn it off as soon as it comes on. I wouldn't lie there listening to it.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:26, archived)
OK, so we have different methods of waking up. Personally I don't like being wrenched from sleep by a repeated monotone.
I prefer to be "gently roused" by 6Music.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:28, archived)
I also wake up to 6 Music.
The chance of being in a bad mood from being woken up by an appalling song is very slim, when it's 6 music.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:34, archived)
You have no joy in your life, do you?
WHAT'S THE POINT IN ANYTHING?
*slashes wrists*
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:25, archived)
I put it to you that you must have no joy in yours,
if you feel the need to augment it with extra things all the time.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:27, archived)
Quite right, I should live in a box under the bed.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:28, archived)
Or why own a box?

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:29, archived)
OK, let's all live naked in a field.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:30, archived)
You materialistic bastard.
You want a field? You should be happy with an empty infinite void.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:31, archived)
I don't know exactly what point you're driving at here,
but saying someone must have no joy in their life because they wake up to an alarm clock instead of the radio is every bit as absurd as calling someone a wanker for listening to the radio.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:31, archived)
No, I was talking to you because you've got a very unique outlook on life.
By unique, I mean mental.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:34, archived)
Oh well that's alright then,
as long as you don't mean joyless.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:35, archived)
Luxury!

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:30, archived)
How is waking up to an alarm clock joyless? Anybody who finds any amount of joy in waking up to the radio deserves a massive fucking kick in the face.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:28, archived)
So you don't enjoy music?
And what's with the wanker/kick in the face? Why do I deserve a kick in the face?
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:30, archived)
He's just grumpy 'cos he can't get rid of those warts on his willy.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:32, archived)
You're wasting your time, here
it's Welsh. It doesn't understand reasoned argument.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:32, archived)
Because you listen to the radio. I was pretty specific on that point at the start of this subthread.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:32, archived)
I still don't understand what about listening to the radio results in being a "wanker"
you don't seem able to back up your argument.

I'm not surprised.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:36, archived)
You seem to be awfully upset at all of this. I don't like the radio. I can't understand why so many people are worked up over the BBC closing down a radio station.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:38, archived)
I'm just a little taken aback at being called a wanker for listening to the radio.
So because I don't like liquorice, does that mean that everyone that does, is a wanker? Does that make Mrs Moose a wanker?
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:40, archived)
So many people are upset because something they enjoy is being taken away.
Imagine that someone came to your village and took away the sheep...
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:42, archived)
Well now that's not really exactly what you said.
But just imagine how ecstatic they all must have been when they started the radio station up in the first place.
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:40, archived)
It's well documented that radio stations hide subliminal messages
that leave the average listener masturbating uncontrollably for hours on end,
(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:40, archived)
Yeah but I DON'T listen to radio.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:53, archived)
I bet it was you who killed Corey Haim.

(, Wed 10 Mar 2010, 14:36, archived)
I like to wake up to a kick in the face.
