With Yahoo, you can scan/fax/email the death cert to speed things up, donno if hotmail have the same thing, but I had access to an account in that situation inside a day.
Let this be a lesson to you all, keep a little sheet of paper in a safe with all your login details to anything important.

where do you keep the safe key/combination?

In my colon, the only way to wiggle it out would be to shove a 2m floopy willy up my bumhole.
But my dead corps on a cold metal trolly in a mortuariy is so sexy that it would be impossible not to get a stiffy, so no one will be able to get to it.

I see no flaws in this plan

i think gonz clearly shows you why you have got the responses you have, it was a fuckwit question from the start
you need a death cert to even book the funeral, so giving it to a email service will be easy, and as it takes about 2 weeks to arrange a date you could email the entire fucking world with an invite, and if that is not enough time for people then i doubt very much if they even liked the dead person, piss off, no offence

Yep that's what I thought.
I've told her to fax it.

you may need to provide a hard copy, but special delivery only takes a day in the post, you need lots of copies of death certs for loads of different people, costs a fair bit
