I was under the impression he is almost universally liked. I don't know, I've never met the man, nor have I seen enough interviews with him to form a proper opinion

Comes across really well in the Lemmy film which is my only exposure to the chap, seems to be a really enthusiastic guy who's a fan getting to live the dream and seems super grateful for it. I wouldn't buy a record off him though, unless it was by someone else lol

he seems to release an album every five minutes, which is nigh on impossible to do with consistent quality
The only exception to that rule are Aussie psychedelic merchants King Gizzard who are unbelievably prolific and almost always outstanding, despite their silly name. Incredible musicians, really impressive.

They've done albums in totally different styles from acoustic-y folk stuff to near-on death metal, you most likely won't like it all
Nonagon Infinity is their best one. They got into customising their guitars, adding frets to create middle eastern scales and so on, and fucking complex time signatures - from a technical perspective alone they are really fucking impressive.
