I guess the shittroll(s) are a little cowardly but I think their most prominent trait is their neediness.
If you're ignoring and ignored by, say, 10 people, that's nearly half the /talk users and possibly more than half the threads tiered off. If each person ignores only 3-5 people, that still creates some fractures that render several threads and sub-threads invisible to many. It's a great community-fracturing system, until some audience-demanding narcissist circumvents it by starting a new account.
Statistically, it's most likely to be the most prolific user with the most time on their hands.
