Selfish holiday
Immediately after our family holiday of a couple of weeks in France last year, Mrs Upinblue arranged for a long weekend trip to the Isle of Wight.
Two days after travelling back from France? Fuck that.
So she decided to take little tangle and leave me to my own devices.
I knocked off work at 3pm on the Friday, dashed home in the sunshine, cracked open a beer and rolled a joint and that was pretty much me until they came back on Monday evening.
Bliss.

Where did everybody go?
We got off to such a good start this morning, too.
It's been a five-day gay shift in here, and it was nice to see some other people back. Who scared them away?
Most awful holiday experience ever was a trip back from Berlin to Bristol, in the years before Sleasyjet did that route. We were booked on Sabena through Brussels, but got palmed off on KLM through Amsterdam because we wouldn't meet our connection. We missed the new connection anyway, and it took us two days to get home. They sent us via Dublin, for some bizarre reason.

I can't think of a best off the top of my head, but I can tell you the worst
My friend was off to Singapore for a year, we'd been out for a 'quiet' one the night before, which had ended with one friend being taken off in an ambulance. We were then up at 6am the next day, took her to the airport, headed home, absolutely gutted.
At about 11am, the lad from the night before came over, and when I came down to bollock him, he looked so miserable I couldn't help but laugh, knowing that no bollocking I could give him could make him feel any worse. Instead, we sat talking for hours about why he'd felt the need to be such a prick the night before, etc.
After he left, I then went to a house party, and whilst it was nice, I didn't know half the people there, and one guy seemed to have a real problem with me, I ended up leaving after a couple of hours, cancelled my plans for the rest of the night, and ended up just going to bed. Was miserable as fuck.
The next day, I called a couple of people, we went to the pub, and got shitfaced. It's amazing how quickly getting drunk with friends can cheers you up.

It was a holiday of sorts
but I managed to get myself stranded in Edinburgh when I was 14, with 27p to my name, having missed the last train home.
Equally, I had my 21st birthday off work but spent it alone, doing nothing, and had takeaway pizza and (expensive, in fairness) wine for dinner, also alone.
I know I've mentioned this before, but I really want to go backpacking in Morocco.

It depends on a lot of factors but on the whole I agree. If you have a gas bbq that's fine, but it's wrong anyway. I find lamb, chicken and pork to be awesome on the bbq, I am great a cooking beef in the kitchen but struggle with steaks on the bbq for some reason.

Gas BBQ = cheating. It is simply an outside cooker. All BBQ food should be slightly burned and slightly raw at the same time. This is why you use hot chilli sauce and beer to kill off the germs/potential death
