Ive been out for a long and frank business lunch with my senior manager, so I missed the excitement.

# Happyperson
good post as well
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:26, archived)
# so what you doing tomorrow then?
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:53, archived)
# I replied to you TWICE, are you blind?
I have to get ready to go to the Dam. I leave the house at 9am on Friday.

I will try to find some interesting gadgets for us whilst I'm there.

# yes Im blind.
Board moving massively quick, and I keep doing work.

Please tell me what getting ready for dam requires? Buying huge boxes of nodders, and a block of kendal mintcake for when you've smoked too much?

# thought so
I replied to you twice yesterday.

I need to do this thing called washing & ironing. I don't mind looking like crap when i'm at work, but I thought I'd make the effort for the trip.
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 15:06, archived)
# cant you get your mum to do your ironing?
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 15:30, archived)
# Oh, it was thrilling,
a post appeared just like normal, but it was the millionth one.
I danced and sang in the street.
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:27, archived)
# yes
I haven't eaten or slept for the last two days just in case I missed it. As soon as it happened I immediately came in my pants and now I'm too sticky to stand up in the office.

# i decided to take the day off,
not too happy at work with internet access thing -gits-

so i had a very lazy day waiting for the moment of truth

: )

# me to!
so glad someone else said it, not so embarrassed now!

unless that was sacastic...
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:35, archived)
# why be embarrassed?
I gladly take days off, to the national average that is, about 5 i think these days.

its the British thing to do, why wait till your ill?

: ))
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:39, archived)
# I was talking about the dirty thing mentioned above,
not taking the day off, I'm all for that
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:40, archived)
# it's the british thing to do
as we get the lowest number of national holidays in europe!

cnuts of a government - 1/2 the bank holidays (or eqv) of any other country in europe.. and we work our asses off.
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:42, archived)
# Could be worse
could be American. They get fuck all annual leave when they first start working. Goes up a bit over the years but kids go into shock after leaving college and finding they've only got 10 days A/L.
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:45, archived)
# and about 15-20
national holidays.. oh I'm soooo gutted for them
not a generalisation or anything but twats the lot of them
Is that why they have to make up for it by fucking the whole world over environmentally and politically?
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:59, archived)
# but in the states taking your allocated holiday
is regarded as a sign of being workshy.
Puritan Work ethic or something
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 15:16, archived)
# indeed
what's the point of taking a day off when you're sick?

Where's the fun in that???

If you're ill, go into work and sneeze, cough and puke on as many senior managers as possible.

That's what I do.
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:43, archived)
# yay to all of the
above

i agree :)
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:44, archived)
# /sarc
(, Wed 2 Apr 2003, 14:36, archived)
# I don't think it was just like normal
I tried replying to the 999999th post...

Having checked it, I now realise that sort of thing don't work
