I used to have to sit mine on a hardback so there was some air circulation under it
then it died completely so I sent it back to HP and they replaced the motherboard, fan, heatsink and graphics card Now it works a treat - it's like having a new laptop in a knackered case :)

Maybe some hydroquinone-burgers?
I feel rather bad about that photo the other day. After my lab mate said he was worried about advertising the stuf, he found a paper the next day where every last piece of work he's done since he started was published...

He took it well.
Nine months of research gone. Always worth doing a thorough literature check before getting too involved. So, to answer the previous question, it's a mixture of iron nitroprusside (red blocks) and an unknown blue-green insoluble impurity.

metal pencil sharpeners! my colleague at work recently got in trouble for burning a hole through a heatproof matt AND solid wooden science desk after sticking magnesium pencil sharpeners in the bunsen burners in front of her y8 class! xx
