# Threadjack.
After many attempts this afternoon I have discovered that Tim Brooke-Taylor is the hardest of The Goodies to draw.

# it's insights like these
that give variety to life.
thank you.

# no distinguishing features, really.
i can see your point. I had the same problem with Orlando Bloom.

# He's right, you know.
I just attempted to disprove him and it turned out to be a cross between Phenella out of Chorlton and the Wheelies and Chris deFucking Burgh.

# I think I've sorted it,
you habve to go down the "pointy nose, haughty expresion route".
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 16:57, archived)
# That's where the Phenella came from.
Mind, you're slightly better at drawing than me :)

# They all came out quite well,
I'm going through a spate of drawing people.
Yesterday I drew Jake La Motta (Raging Bull).

# WELL OBVIOUSLY!!!
jesus! some people eh?!

# As he looked then
or as he looks now?

You are right though - he's quite ordinary whereas for Oddie all you need is a big beard, ears and glasses.

# Oddie has the beard
Garden has the glasses and sideburns.
The thing with Tim Brooke-Tayloe is that his face just doesn't suit long seventies hair.

# draw
him with a bag on his head with the word 'tim' written on it by Bill.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 16:58, archived)
# Heh,
that would be in keeping.
I'm going to draw them running away from a giant kitten.

# I see your threadjack, and raise you:
Aparently they passed a new law on April 1st which means we can't move into our new house until an extra piece of paperwork is completed - the lawyers say this will only take a week.

However, the next tenant is due to move into our house in 6 days. Our landlord has (in an incredibly minor way) fucked up some confirming paperwork though, so we're within our legal rights to stay here and barricade the doors for another month. We just phoned the landlord to tell him that.

He's Not Very Happy with us. I am Quite Scared.

# Be calm, be calm.
It'll sort out someway or t'other.
Its not your fault, let your lawyers speak to him.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 16:56, archived)
# oh bums -
can you get the lawyer to hurry up? Can you store your stuff oop North and crash at your folk's place for a bit?

edit - and if it's only 1 week-ish you might well be able to swing it with the landlord by being nice...
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 16:56, archived)
# The lawyer says they're going as fast as they can -
and he's a family friend and stuff so we can't rush him any more than that.

The trouble is, where the hell do we put the cats?

It will all be fine. It's just not very nice right now.

# Coe to Notting Hill
for a pint then
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 17:00, archived)
# That's crap.
If, however, you need somewhere to stay in the meantime...
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 16:57, archived)
# ditto here
we have a spare double if you need it philky... i wonder if all the cats would get on! it'd be like double the mirror image thing... four black and white kitties...
