I have day off; I'm listening to radio 4 and trying to make a decision about what type of nappy 'system' we will wish to adopt when our baby turns up...
used to be I'd spend my days off baked out of my skull and needing a nappy myself.. how times have changed.

I was hoping for 10/10/10 but that would be a few weeks early so I'm not hoping for that any more... 12/11/10 would be a few weeks late and Mrs UnderCover is already threatening me with violence over putting her in such discomfort so I'm keeping shtum about that one...

As a father of four and step dad to thre just forget sleeping, eating and sex. or having a social life that does not involve packing more stuff than Sir E Hilary took up Everest

I sometimes like sexing a sleeping lady while I simultaneously enjoy a haggis bap - are you saying I won't be doing so much of this?

you can manage sex while BOTH of you are asleep, you may still be able to enjoy Sexy Tiem. Otherwise, you will be tooooo tired to even contemplate bonking. Plus Mrs Prof will be up on blocks for 6 weeks!

still looking forwards to meeting the baby though - Wriggles (the name of the bump) has started kicking which is awesome although the missus' ribs are taking a bit of a battering

I have 1 daughter whom I love dearly and 2 stepkids that I absolutely cannot stand, despite years of trying.

but nobody prepares you for just how much time you need to spend with a new baby. if you're misses is going to breastfeed exclusively the first few weeks it'll be attached about 80% of her waking hours!
it's all worth it though. the only shit thing is going back to work after a couple of weeks.
oh, fill the freezer up before it arrives (or get mother/mother in-law to :-)...cooking time is severely limited and breast-feeding women need to eat a fair amount.
