I miss being able to put on a huge coat and not cook internally. I miss scarves and gloves and hats and drinking coffee outside on a frosty morning. I miss seeing the birds arrive for winter and freezing my arse off at some God-forsaken nature reserve.
I wouldn't miss it for very long, mind, but just to actually feel cold again.
(I made this to keep my kids entertained...)

None of that in the GTA.

A bottle shop is a place to buy alcohol.

Yep, we're singing off the same hymn sheet.
"Offie" is short for "off-licence", ie premises that have a licence to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises.
These days we're so sophisticated, we also do tinnies. Actually, it's mostly tinnies. Well, it is for me, anyway.

In the U.S., round my parts at least, it's just a "liquor store".
How boring.

How boring.

I've always thought "liquor" sounds quite sophisticated. Compared to, say, "booze", or "haha me and my mates are going to get shit-faced!"

& I haven't cleaned the pool yet - sometimes the bottle-o fridge is nicer.
