Then stayed up in the hope of seeing the partial eclipse. However, it's 100% cloud cover and snowing. No chance of seeing it.

# I took 5 side-by-side shots of that scene, it was simply amazing and nobody else was out there for the 2 hours I spent trudging across the hill with a tripod on me back (well it was 2am)

I found with photo stitching software, you could often do it by hand in ps.paint.net/whatever fairly easily and with less of the odd warpings.
