# Looking to reserve a parking space?
Just tie together an armchair stool and radiator. That'll do it.

it looks peeved.

# If you get a permanant marker and draw Michael Bentines face on it....
it would look like Michael Bentine.

# Perhaps we are to take this as a comprehensive guide to the acquisition
of crappy furniture and heating appliances in colder climates.

Or then again, perhaps not. I suspect the latter.

# you would think in colder times that a radiator would be better suited in doors and switched on
Unless its a broken radiator

he didn't say it was broken

does its functionality effect parking?

# Were one to have the desire to find out, I sure some correlation between de-icing windscreens
and/or warming up tyres (as in F1) could be uncovered.

I must agree with your thesis on the radiator's location within one's property bestowing greater heating facility, rather than it merely being left in the street as some shambolic attempt to garner a parking spot.
