I'm only at the fourth chapter at the moment, but it's actually given me a pure injection of fun into my veins.

I have completed it to the end of the single player campaign, and part of the coop campaign.

In my opinion the singleplayer is too long, the humour lacks the subtlety and darkness of the first game, the puzzles, jokes and environments got repetitive very fast and the story was ridiculous.
I found the co-op much better than the singleplayer, but it was too short, lacking in significant challenge and failing to explore many of the possibilities I found most interesting.

so I'm guessing the sequel contains exams or lectures, something like that.

I don't go a lot on the controls though, they seem pretty unresponsive. Most of the first few levels are pretty boring, not a lot going on. And then the game ending is a bit sudden.

The second game you will escape, with a small ball and paranoia.

I think I read that on Know Your Memes apparently it's written on a maze wall and has come to mean a Reward based insentive where the reward is never forthcoming.

and then there's a scene in the closing titles which suggests there really was cake, but it's left a bit deliberately ambiguous, to toy with your emotions.

"Alright I've been thinking. When life gives yah lemons, don't make lemonade! Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down...with the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

saying its stupid short and massively overpriced for a puzzle game
*Edit - also, what the fuck? I just got this when I hit refresh:
Normal
2x Speed
1.5x Speed
Normal Speed
½ Speed
¼ Speed
3D
Stereo Mode (change...)
3d was a link to b3ta 3d mode but I got a 404. Have I seen behind the curtain and will I now be dead by morning?

But I've not had a game that has given me this much pure fun in ages. My first time on the aerial faith plates I was almost crying with fun, it feels so smooth and natural and amazing.
The only problems I've had is probably to do with leaving other programs up around the background while playing, it's juddered a bit when I got shot by some turrets.
Edit: yes. You're going to die.

That was the only downside with the first one, the length. Thought they said they were going to make this one long enough to justify a standalone release title price point? I'm disappointed if so because this is one of only a couple of games that I've been looking forward to over the last year.
