"You have arrived at a propitious moment, coincident with your country's one contribution to Western civilisation. Afternoon tea. May I press you to a cucumber sandwich?"

# oh god... Mighty White...... O_o
I happened to pick up a loaf of Warburtons Farmhouse Brown Bread the other day, but it was really pale - like a white loaf. If you did as much as look at it, it would tear/crumble, and it wasn't stale... Fecking useless for sandwiches... /bread_rant

# The breakfast club....
Toast 2 slices of thick white on one side only.

Fry bacon, sausage, black pudding, hash browns.

Fry a 3rd slice of bread in remaining fat, add extra butter if needed.

Layer the sandwich with the toasted sides outside, the hash brown and black pud in one half, the sausage and bacon in the other and the fried slice in between.

Optional extras... ketchup (for the kids) brown sauce, Worcestershire sauce or Tabasco sauce for the grown ups, fried egg, fried tomato, defibrillator.
(, Mon 15 Aug 2011, 14:30, archived)
# if you are on a diet
replace the bread with ryveta, the bacon and sausage with cornflakes and the hash browns and black pud with weetabix and your outlook on life with something more meaningful
