Anyone who says they "Do not paint" have a very narrow definition of the word.
Of course, I'm fast and free and think taking a staged photo is painting.

Sue me.
I'm not an expert
and I haven't seen lots of pictures like this before but I think that this may have been shopped.
Something about pixels.

I suppose crapping in a toilet could be construed as "painting" it
in some less-constrained definition ;p

well, if you rope that toilet off in a gallery space and do it, people will pay good money to see you do it, ART

Had a discussion on here recently about what is art and what isn't.
This ^ (toilet painting) might qualify if the result was borne out of a prowess above and beyond that which would be expected of the average person (plus had some particular level of significance.)

I'm very out of touch with modern art, I only found out about these guys this week, no excuse

Hahaha
hell yeah, these guys always raise a smile for me. Proper trolling; they actually make a living at it and have a shitload of fun in the process.

I wish I could make a living wage making pictures and music
but I lack commitment, so, 9-5 pollution blues it is

terrible shit that nobody would ever want to buy ; )
I have unrealistically high standards and hate most things I do, b3ta is fine though because it is all for fun

I guess I'm talking genre
I used to play keys in jazz and R&B bands for years. I still create originals on occasion in my little studio, and create backing tracks for other musicians to use for various purposes. I get paid for those, but it's not a very good per-hour return, if you know what I mean.

I'm kind of all over the place.
if pressed for a point of reference I would say Zoogz Rift, or Soul Coughing..
but when I reach for the acoustic it's usually in the Kristin Hersh / Frank Black / Jon Fratelli line of things

There was also that rap you did for the private pants party time song

I wasn't around for that.
I'm still feeling kind of left out to be honest.

I can relate to some of those, to a point
You probably won't relate to my stuff, but I'll thrust one at you anyway. I'ts a dance/jazz/marginally fusional original I call SmoothPass

I think I heard a rap version of this.
It was a woman, she was saying stuff like, "your call is important to us, please continue to hold for the next available representative".

does that mean you think it sounds like please-hold or elevator music?
If so, I agree in a way, but it's mine and not everyone can do it :)
ed: of course I did not expect an answer. You are rather predictable that way.

when I play piano it's mostly Satie, or a bit of the old Ludwig van.

I suppose it's art, given that probably not just "anybody" could do it
(or at least not anything similar twice in a row.) Why anyone would want to, though, is a different matter.

correct--but if it leaves an incidental stain on the pew (pardon the pun) that might be art ;p

There was the guy
who ate different coloured foods until he pooped that colour. Bottled them and then made what can only be described as shitscapes painted only with his multi-hued turds.
I'd give that one art (If only for the suffering to get a blue paint)

I was once made to see an exhibition of casts (in bronze) of unusual spaces
it started with the spaces under chairs.
Then moved on to the spaces under stools.
I really don't want to know how she got all those famous people to have molten bronze poured up their arses.
Ha! I just realised that you all think I'm joking.

Rachel Whiteread
She makes casts of negative space. I saw one thing of hers which was a cast of the space inside a library.
Oh and I just remembered it was her who made a cast of the inside of an entire house... alright, wiki says she won the Turner prize for it.
I never saw the house, but the library was actually fanatastic.
