Best family dog we have ever had, my Daughter used to climb on her back and sit down and the poor thing would just sigh and go back to sleep, Never snatched, never scavenged for food, she was just content.
What ever happened to those psychotic dogs you used to get in the 80s? we had a dog you couldn't let into the house, it ate the back door, it was insane!

And yes, we had an insane dog in the 80s that ate almost all of the lounge skirting board and used to howl all night.

We used to get the thing these horrible long sausage things from the pet shop that was dirt cheap, the dog ate through the cupboard one night and ate 9 of the things, then threw up everywhere... and bit my dad when he was cleaning the sick up.... Happy memories!

It's weird wandering round the house, expecting to have to step over the lump! And missing the sound of her claws tip toeing across the kitchen floor.
It's strange the things you take for granted, would love to hear her Id charm clinking against her water dish! :-(

I've always had a dog and totally sympathise. It's not LIKE losing a member of the family, it IS losing a member of the family :(

I moved out 2 years after she got her, But have been back on and off the last 6 months or so after me mam had a stroke, This house doesnt feel right without the dog pottering around and sighing all the time.
