Harold Lloyd was great, and this stunt is all the more remarkable for the fact he's missing a sizeable chunk of his right hand.

it's also a fantastic example of great location, careful camera work and excellent cuts
he's only a few feet above lots of mattresses, yet almost everyone believes he did the stunt with nothing below him and the street

Do you remember the version with the added voice over, with a high yackety-yacket-jack American accented man speaking over the pratfalls? That was the one I saw first, and I think I preferred it.

Childhood memories :) Those shows introduced me to the man. I ended up preferring the full movies when there was a Harold Lloyd season on BBC2 one Christmas, but I still like the music of the old yackety yak show :)
