just listened to wil wheaton read 'Ready Player One'. It's good.

Spielberg's a good choice as he can do sci-fi and nostalgia well, but I can't see them keeping the less mainstream references which were spot on, eg Zork - most geeks with 80s nostalgia know it, but it's not a mainstream reference.
It could end up like Pixels if they try and broaden the appeal.

featuring the movie American Pie instead of War Games and classic music like Blink 182. As an Audiobook having Wheaton read it really added to the experience as he got to mention himself at one point.
Wait, I take it all back IMDB says "Filming Locations: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Also, underneath Spaghetti Junction." That is gonna be some bostin' urban nightmare backdrop, maybe they'll recreate the Bull Ring in CGI how it used to be. The book really hit home with me and the film might hit even closer.
