it's really not that hard to put a duvet cover on though.
also I thought that yellow squiggle down his shirt was the reason he's washing his bedclothes... :)

i can empathise with dan there. i hate putting duvey covers on. i have to have the duvet right up to the top of the cover, having excess material at the top really pisses me off

I put the top corners of the duvet into the top corners of the duvet cover, and then use hairbands to hold the corners in place while i get the rest of the duvet into the cover.

pull the duvet in with you
hold the duvet into the corners of the cover, above you head, crucifix-style
fall forwards onto the bed,
crawl out backwards
do up the cover
