# pffft
though i still think the eye looks a little rude... whens the film out?

# Am I right in thinking...
...he's been dropped from the final cut?
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 13:44, archived)
# rumour has it
that his scenes will only be on the extended DVD

# This entire business of extended DVDs is getting plain ridiculous
Tolkien would be spinning in his grave to see such blatant merchandising
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 13:48, archived)
# I tell you what though,
the Two Towers is bloom marvellous DVD...I was up till 2 last night watching some of the extras.
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 13:56, archived)
# Really?
Does it really ad to the movie?
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 13:58, archived)
# In some places it does,
but in many places it doesn't, its more character stuff really. But its still nice to see and doesn't feel as rushed.

# Hmmm..
been debating buying it, already have the two towers weenie version but this version sounds better.
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:05, archived)
# Its worth it for the extras,
especially the Gollum documentary, Andy Serkis is a genius in a gimp suit.
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:08, archived)
# I didn't rate The Two Towers quite as much as
I rated The Fellowship, but apparently the extended bits are suppose to make up for what we lost in the cinema version - bastards
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:00, archived)
# I think that was
time constraits though...but the extended version is better.
And the extras are fantastic, fantastic...I'd buy just them.
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:02, archived)
# I can understand time restraints but they didn't help matters
by inserting the Warg battle that wasn't even in the book and have Aragorn fall off a cliff and survive which is plain stupid - and the excuse that it was to add a bit of excitement into the film, when they could have done so by adding Shelob on the end of the film and pulling forward the battle of Helm's Deep - that at least would have been truer to the book
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:06, archived)
# They talk about that
in one of the documentaries, explaing why they made the changes.
(, Tue 18 Nov 2003, 14:09, archived)
# Then I shall be purchasing my copy of the Extended Edition through gritted teeth
about the robbery of all of this.
