# I disagree,
I think the standard of work displayed there is excellent.

# who said it wasn't?
:)

# okay..
well congratulations to the Chimps in the Ministry for a job well done :)

# my picture was meant to be tongue-in-cheek
I guess that didn't go across too well :(

this place is great and I wouldn't have the FP selection process changed in any way, as said further down in this thread if there were voting for FP's this place would go to pot - fast
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:40, archived)
# oops - missed off my facetious tag,
:)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:43, archived)
# :)
someone should badger the government for a grant to develop new smileys, tongue-in-cheek, sarcasm, etc.

# Says he with 2 on the FP at the moment

# i think it's been shit this weekend.

# not enough bukkake?
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:48, archived)
# is there EVER enough bukkake?
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:50, archived)
# "face like a plasterer's radio"
in nagasaki, they like bukkake
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:53, archived)
# hehe
I reckon there should be an 'I like this!' button on new thread posts, and when it gets enough clicks, it goes on the front page.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:36, archived)
# this is a dictatorship
no democracy here
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:38, archived)
# Sorry.
I'll take my radical ideas and burn them in some sort of fire-proof tin.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# plus
most people have shit taste, i'm pretty sure i do

edit: though i do think a few more mods are needed for some times of the day, maybe an american or two
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# If the button existed (and who's to say it doesn't)
anything you would vote for would be less than 20k

;)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:41, archived)
# I agree with that
there's lots of night/gay shift pictures that really are superb that tend to get missed. They'll only get frontpaged if a mod feels like spazzing back.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:42, archived)
# How many mods are there
does anyone know?

I asked this before and something happened, can't remember what
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:44, archived)
# Somebody does know
I seem to remember quite a while back that someone said there was somethign like about 20, though they could of been bullshitting.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:46, archived)
# probably nothing happened
i don't think anyone ever kept track of who the mods are, and it doesn't really matter anyway. if you pay attention when something gets FP'd you can figure out some of them, but really, it's better if no one knew
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:46, archived)
# I agree again
Personally I think the mods do a good job (99% of the time)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:48, archived)
# If i were a mod i'd have a hard time
keeping quiet about it

EDIT: surely it's organised in such a way that someone is always "on duty"
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:50, archived)
# Which may be why you're not
or is htis a cunning double bluff?

edit: No, you cant guarantee that.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:52, archived)
# The plot thins
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:53, archived)
# I'll agree with that
i definately think there should be more american mods. perhaps some college student in Virginia.... or somtehing.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:43, archived)
# at least with the current system
people who don't get on the front page can just keep thinking "I would get there if there was democracy"

like me ;)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# but then the army of twunts
would click on all the shite ones to get them on the front page
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:38, archived)
# i am
a twunt
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# You'd then see a huge influx of new memebers/alt IDs
just for OKing pictures to the frontpage.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# would be good
but you'd get silly people with multiple accounts front paging themselves
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
# Hmm
Maybe then you'd have to have to code it so that when a certain percentage of every user online has clicked it, it gets front paged. Just a thought anyway.

EDIT: Or you could give the privilage of an 'I like this!' button only to users with over say, 500 posts.
