best video card on the planet.
edit: i'm on my 3rd ATI card in the past 5 years... first i had a Rage Fury Pro, then a Radeon 7000, and now i have the Radeon 9600 Pro All In Wonder and i love it!
edit 2: don't go lower than a 9600 radeon

nVidia's new GeForce Ultra 6800 scores better though as far a i'm concerned. but it's very expensive. not sure it's worth it

i'm very sensitive to noises when I sleep, even those i'm used to. so my computer goes off or i'll use earplugs.
if i could afford it i'd go for water cooling just to get it noiseless (HD and stuff will makes sound though....)

Go with Radeon. The drivers always need updating but the new cards always outperform the latest Geforces.

And of course Radeon is Canadian, always a plus.

Mind you, I have a GF4 Ti and it's better than the FX range which replaced it.. soo....
slight threadjack: anyone know where I can get something to test frame rates and stuff properly? fast-enough-to-make-your-cornea-melt isn't accurate enough for showing off...
