# Behold Sir Zyk0tiK's 3D hands of l33tn3ss
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:14, archived)
# If I could do things in 3D
I'd put his face as the texture on a 3D cup of tea, then trace it, and label it as costing 32k
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:15, archived)
# I'll
have a crack at that when I get back from work.

my work computer is barely 3d...
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:17, archived)
# ahhhh... i take it this is all a zykotic thing
does anyone else remember his most famous outburst of dickheadedness?

# wooo!
NOW MAKE ME SOME 3D TEA!
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:15, archived)
# I'm shit at 3D
;)
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:16, archived)
# hah
wtf?
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:15, archived)
# I'd like your expert opinion I rendered a low-poly hand

# Sssshhh! damn you!

# urr...
it has a finger missing.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:20, archived)
# it's not meant to be photorealistic
it's low fucking poly!

;) (just pulling your leg)
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:20, archived)
# hahahaha :D
No but seriously, my hands are for a HL2 mod i'm working on, and may possibly use them for a Doom 3 mod too, they don't have a texture or normal or bump or spec mapping. They are just a plain basic mesh.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:24, archived)
# To be honest I don't do a lot of 3d rendering
I'm just at the stage of adding bones and skinning from mesh-smoothed primitives, but the whole bump mapping and getting texture map just right it a little too much like rocket science.

But you really should moderate what you say on a board like this as it will come back and bite you up the arse, I have found this out myself - b3ta has no room for egotisical bigheads and they always get slapped down.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:27, archived)
# Meh,
I dont try make myself out to be an egotistical bighead, People just seem to assume one thing and say shit, and then I get pissed off, so I talk more. It's mostly out of anger.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:29, archived)
# Yes sometimes
stuff get's taken out of context, but if you leave yourself open to it you will be punished for it. My advice would be to not let yourself get so riled up and remember it's just a messageboard full of people you've never met before nor likely to meet most of them. So bite your lip, have a nice cup of tea and roll with the punches. They will soon get bored if you don't react and will go on to find someone else more annoying to annoy.

You seem to be a sensible person, you've taken a lot of stick and still you're here - like I said before learn to roll with the punches a little and dish out the odd leg-pull yourself and all will be a sweet as a basket full of 3d rendered kittens ;)

Is it just me or does it look like a cluedo card!

It was Sir Professor Zyk0tiK on the B3ta message board with some heavy insults and finger pointing!!
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:16, archived)
# Heavy insults?
Negatory.

Finger pointing however yes, BUT it wasn't meant in a mean way, You guys are the cunts that started me arguing.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:18, archived)

Are you any good at it?
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:24, archived)
# i'm pretty decent with with one.
can't even start 2 though...
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:27, archived)
# Barnesy told me to tell Matt
that he could do 3, and Matt got pissed off and was practicing all the time. He can nearly do 3 now though - well that's what he told me
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:28, archived)
# *cackles*
Coo, just popped in and found myself getting mentioned. Lemony, come to Bradford on saturday!
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:31, archived)
# I have a message for you from Colin
he said that he will be coming along to more conventions this year now that he has his new job and his kids are a bit older
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:33, archived)
# oooh, splendid.
About time too.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:36, archived)

(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:45, archived)
# I've only recently gone off them.
They used to seem to make everything easier for me, but now I find them harder to use for some reason. And yes, they can cause much pain.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:50, archived)
# he seems to love them though
and they do hold spin stupidly well
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:51, archived)
# hahaha
I think I shall be winding him up this afternoon
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:46, archived)
# Reading all that bollocks from him
is tempting me into learning 3D modelling just to make something totally awesome.
No one here better than him my arse.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:22, archived)
# that I've seen
on the board. Lots of people are better than me,

I've seen 3D Talent on the board, but nothing especially good.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:26, archived)
# Ahhh, i see.
There probably is (no offence to you) but they just dont bother fucking about and posting any of it here.
I'm just saying, because if you ever brag about being the best at something (even in a limited group of people), chances are someone'll be able to come along and knock you on you arse.
(, Thu 27 Jan 2005, 13:28, archived)
