And looked at the template "Orange" at:

If you look at the DHTML and the CSS, they're identical except for the colors.

i thought the whole point of that place was to use the templates - and the vast majority of the css has been completly rewritten.

But not to delete an author's name and replace it with yours. Open Source is simply a way of sharing 'how' something is made. It's not an open license to steal authorship titles.
