# I think
he was testing whether his picture appeared in the competition pages - it's confusing because stuff that's frontpaged appears at the front, but the rest is chronilogical

# yeah it is a bit
it works that way so that the front page of the challenge should be a nice selection of fun images.

# it makes sense
it just caught me out before.

you know the links to users' profiles don't work on the competition pages (after the site rejig)?

no, this is what I was saying at the party, even if he's writing for the haringey gazette, we may end up with usership of around 30000 POSTING members, splinter newsgroups here we come.

# ah...
and another question: why does he post great pictures and then flee? it looks, by his lack of answering, that he's done it again. Doesn't he crave love and praise like the rest of us? what a weirdo.

# hee!
just finished reading cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson a while ago, such class. I have never been intrigued by the second w. war before, I had too much stuffed down my throat at school I guess, But now I cant get enough, discovery channel is my new best friend.

# if you liked cryptonomicon,
you'd probably enjoy Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow. though maybe you've already read it. it's a bit classier and less geeky. a very great book.
(, Thu 14 Nov 2002, 18:30, archived)
# thanks,
I havnt read it yet, tell you what, ill trade you an Ian M banks for a while?
