sorry about this, but a friend of mine is a skinflint and won't use the people i normally register and host websites with cos he wants to do it on the cheap. can anyone recommend a cheap registration/hosting place that won't fuck everything up?

cheers!

www.ukreg.com and have just switched to their web-hosting through www.fasthosts.com, about £50 per year if you pay for the hosting a year at a time. 200mb space, unlimited POP3 with forwarding and auto-respond. On the tucows network.

# Mate of mine
had major problems with Fasthosts' email forwarding. Duplicate messages, multi-day delays in mail arriving and all sorts of problems. This continued for a number of months. I've no idea if they still have those problems, as he's moved all his domains off ;-)

# I had that problem
when I was only using their domain reg., it stopped happening ages ago, will wait and see now that I have hosting too
