# Apparently, Light is a theory in CRISIS!
Crisis, I tell you!

Just read this!

So if these scientists can't explain it, then who's to say that their so called 'theory' should be taught in all our schools?? Eh? Eh?!

How do they know that, for example like it said in Genesis, God created light, and therefore only he decides the speed? I propose that this theory of 'Intelligent Illumination' should be taught too, until the scientists can disprove it!

but on a related note...
I saw a temperature probe, in use, it was a laser!!Whan pointed on the object told the temp!!But how???How can light measure heat?

# I've been asking myself that same question
maybe the temperature of the surface it bounces off on causes the lases beam to change in some way, which can be measured upon coming back
/probably bollocks

# The laser is irrelevant
It's just a pointer - it actually measures the IR coming off the surface

# aha!

# in co-op* we have one and you can't see the laser so it's not just there to aim with
i guessed it might be something to do with the particles in the thing you point it at moving/vibrating at different speeds therefore causing tiny amounts of doppler shift, but now thinking about it that's a load of bollocks

*it's okay i'm a student

# no

it's all done by frottage
(, Thu 19 Jan 2006, 22:45, archived)
# That's what I thought
The beam comes back hotter or colder. We tried hot food, then an ice machine, when pointed at the ice, it measured -1 degrees,so it does work, but how????
not a scientist

edit Ahh!*
*Whoosh!
