I also took mine to bits, and promptly forgot how to put it back together. But it was a good learning exercise. I always remembered how to reassemble things I took apart after that.

I remember me and my chum taking his bigtrak apart
and managing to make a torch out of it.
His dad was not best pleased.

I can't remember why, but my mate's Big Trak ended up dismantled by me. Trailer and all. Still got the jack plug for the trailer (strange, like a 3.5mm headphone plug but longer), the transistors are in my transistor pot (they've got little metal tabs on 'em so they're easy to spot), I've probably still got the motors too but wouldn't recognise 'em.
