# "actually," he said, falling for the trap...
it depends on which series/film

NCC 1701D is the original Next Generation ship

Kirk's original ship was NCC 1701

Both changed after destruction and replacement of the ships in the films (NCC 1701E and NCC 1701A).

# hahahahahaha
No offence to anyone on here to is into star trek (fair enough - I don't mind it*) but having a 'pet name' for being obsessed over a particular show is a bit weird I think.

(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 10:42, archived)
# they actually prefer to be called "Trekkers"
instead of boring slack-jawed-loner-cunters (which is what I call 'em)
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:41, archived)
# Aye
I am a trekker, not a trekkie, apparently. I don't see the difference really but I'm told it's something to do with having regular sex and friends.
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:43, archived)
# So it's like Emo - scifi'ers are trekkies then...
interestink.
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:45, archived)
# I think trekkies are the people who think it's the be-all and end-all
and trekkers are the ones who realise it is just a telly show. A fantastic telly show, but still.

I'm a buffer too, which is even sadder. And a big scrubs fan, but if you call me that word I'll get angry....
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:47, archived)
# Scrubbie?
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:53, archived)

but only because I want to procreate with you.

Although I am a monkey, so this may prove awkward.
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 10:10, archived)
# They are only trekkies..
if they have attended a convention.
(or correct you that it's trekkers)
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:59, archived)
# I was refering to his comment of Trekkie fans
fans of Trekkies (or Trekkers)
(, Tue 31 Oct 2006, 9:44, archived)
# aahhhh, so fans of Trekkies
or "imigrants" as I call them. They normally come from Poland.
