and got a recipe for pumpkin pie off t'internet
only to find one i'd got all the seeds out of it, that if i wanted to carve it, there wasn't any flesh for the pie

lightly salted and allowed to dry slowly in a low oven the seeds are also rather nice.

tasted a bit while carving this one.
it's horrible.
the inside of a pumpkin is almost
hollow. there is some stringy bits and loads of seeds.
it has about an inch thick flesh which is edible.
after carving a jack o'lantern though the pumpkin
rots quite quickly.

it stops it rotting or drying out & going all wrinkly.
