Is a very scary but true one. A recent attempt to do a Darwin exhibition at a museum in New York had to be scrapped, as they were unable to find sponsors that were willing to take the risk of putting their name it as it went against current common thinking!

i think he means
common thinking survival instinct which tells the primate in some to go along with it, or suffer somehow.
