earlier this week i found out that a close friend of mine passed away.
she had a brain tumour, and was only in her mid twenties. she told very few people about it so it was a terrible shock.
it's been (and still is) most upsetting, and i'm left full of regret for not getting to say goodbye properly. it is unfortunate that it has to take things like this to kick me into action, but I will be donating to cancer research, and if anyone has a few quid lying around after donating to b3ta, it'd be nice if you could too.
thanks for reading,
pip

I lost a friend / associate of mine the same way a couple of years ago. He was much the same age, and had seemed to be in full remission. It comes as a hell of a shock.
Condolences.

Condolences.
and thanks to the others too.
i know it's a bit of a cliché, but it really does seem unfair, especially at such a young age. she was such a happy, fun and thoughtful person.

this as a good way to donate money to charity? It allows charities to reclaim on your income tax, plus the government chips in 10%. It's usually quite straightforward to set up a monthly donation.

Someone very close to me has cancer too so I can relate to your unhappy tale. Warm vibes being sent on the ether, Pip.

Have three from me too
Cancer, it's a bugger, sometimes you get lucky and survive, other times not.
Strength to you !
On a serious note - I have a brain scan on the 28th of Feb (I'm just getting over the big C myself, lost a testicle - stage 2 tumour)

and i'll think of you on the 28th. I went for a scan "downstairs" myself, but I was fortunate enough to escape unscathed.
Big respect to you for getting through it all!

and hugs.
Any b3ta birds out there could / should think about running the race for life. They're fantastic events to be part of whether you run, walk or just lollop around the course.
All for a very, very good cause and most humbling when you read some of the In Memory / In Celebration back signs.
