# would you be making comments about stroking her beaver?
because that would obviously be very wrong and not in the least bit drool material.

I've heard they can get smelly
(, Fri 4 May 2007, 9:36, archived)
# these were working ones,
kept outside in rabbit-style hutches, fed on dry cat food and exercised daily in runs. They were stinky, but if you keep them as pets I hear you can have their scent glands removed
(, Fri 4 May 2007, 9:39, archived)
# working ferrets?
what exactly did they work as?

# She has a scent..
but I don't think it smells bad. It's kind of skunky, but very faint, and only is amplified if she gets wet, like during a bath. Thier scent glands go on overload then !

# looks like my one smeagle
is she half polecat by any chance?
(, Fri 4 May 2007, 9:37, archived)
# Donno..
She is just a good ol' American domesticated ferret.. although I hear they are descended from polecats..?
