I hear its rather processor/memory hungry
The beastie I currently work on is not particularly endowed with either.
It was chuntering away a bit even at the latter stages of doing this one.
Still, I'll give it a shot. Isn't there a free ware Painter like thing as well? Artrage or something?

Artrage is great fun.
Though obviously it helps if you can draw/paint to begin with, which you can. You'd probably really like it.

Yep, Artrage is still free I think
and it's pretty good. Painter's really excellent though, and it works fairly well alongside Photoshop (you can export painter files to .psd and retain your layers, etc.)
