to take something lyrically bizarre (like most Duran Duran songs) and envisage it in a more literal sense - as the compo describes.
Or to simply draw some specific lyrics in a literal form, like croutons in a liquid broth.
Personally I think the emphasis should be put on the amusing metaphors version.
