Becuase I've just found out that because my colleague has booked off the entire Christmas week, apart from the actual day and boxing day I will be at work throughout all of it.

The cool thing is that we get three extra days per year to take over christmas or birthdays. And if it wasn't my birthday on Friday, and if I hadn't already used my annual leave for that I'd be using it for my birthday.
